Eikö kuningasideasi johtanutkaan mihinkään? Vielä ei ole liian myöhäistä. Kehitystyössä inspiraatio on vasta ensimmäinen askel menestystä kohti. Ideoiden puskeminen läpi työyhteisössä vaatii pelisilmää ja näennäistä tehottomuutta onnistuakseen.   1. Odota sopivaa tilaisuutta ennen kuin etenet. Se hetki, jolloin saat idean, ei aina välttämättä ole paras sen esittämiseen. Sitomalla ehdotuksesi ajankohtaisiin asioihin saat aikapaineen…

The Skolar series is a part of a Finnish pilot project that aims to increase communication between researchers and the general public. Mikä yhdistää maastopyörän, Post-it-lapun, lenkkitossut, internetin ja energiapatukan? Niiden kehittäjillä menivät hermot. Parhaat keksinnöt eivät aina synny kaupallisten toimijoiden systemaattisen tuotekehitystoiminnan tuloksena. Suuri osa elämää helpottavista tuotteista syntyy käyttäjien neronleimauksista, tai joskus suorastaan…

Why do we study the things we do? Miko Laakso continues the Skolar series, sharing his thoughts on saving the world through design thinking (in Finnish): Suomessa hämmentävänkin tuntematon suunnitteluajattelu eli design thinking -keskustelu on raivonnut maailmalla jo hyvän aikaa. Suunnittelijoiden luovuutta ja työskentelytapoja on liikemaailman eri auktoriteettien suilla esitetty ratkaisuiksi lähes minkä…

So why would anyone want to be a researcher? To kick off the Skolar series of this spring, we'll hear three responses, starting with Tua's. Sorry for the Finnish language, which is due to the initial pilot phase being limited to increasing  communication between science and the general audience in Finnish: Kehitystyössä…

Paperbot is one of the numerous challenges ME310 students take and maybe the funniest one: 1 week to build a robot while starting from scratch in electronics! The point of Paperbot is to get started with electronics and not being afraid of prototyping with them later on. Anyone can prototype…
