What are you up to DDF (Duoc Design Factory)?

DDF, hosted by DUOC UC in Santiago, is the fourth official member in the Global DF Network. The project was officially launched in November 2012 and now during the February two faculty members from DUOC have been getting to know the DF ways of working and learning about the passion, problem and project based learning at Aalto Design Factory. Karen and Andrea have taken part in different activities and met with various stakeholders in Aalto University. During this month they have gathered many ideas to take back to Chile with them in March to be able to start actually building the content to the Design Factory in Santiago. The space for the Design Factory, located in headquarters of San Joaquin, is going to be an inspiring space to work for the students and a place to create new co-operation.

Nordic Sustainable Campus Network seminar

NSCN (Nordic Sustainable Campus Network) is a network of sustainability professionals of ESD and campus greening in the Nordic Universities. Now it`s time to bring these professionals and students together by organizing a seminar in Aalto University in the following March. The NSCN seminar focuses on sustainable development in education and campus development. The seminar also has a special emphasis on student engagement.

Aalto on the Move exhibition

What happens when you cram 100 Aalto students in Trans-Siberian train to take them to China? How about if you take a cruise ship with them to Brazil? And what are the plans for Aalto in Africa?

The exhibition presents photos by Timo Idänheimo and Tuure Laurinolli, posters by Jyri Tuulos and videos directed by Anna Berg, Dimitri Paile and Johannes Söderström, produced by Aalto Media Factory. The exhibition is shown 5.3. – 28.3 in AMF Gallery. Opening party with authentic Tracks’ and Waves’ spirit starts at 17:00 on 5th March.
