Hi everyone!
First of all, a million thanks to all organizers and attendees for the amazing Aalto Party on 1.9.2010! Some 2000 people visited the Factory environment during day and night, making it the biggest event Betonimiehenkuja 3-5 has witnessed so far. This video captures some of the backyard’s buzz (George is the man!). First photos of the extravaganza can be found e.g. here and here.

- SEEIT Summer School finished. (Summer is officially over!)
- Preparations for the Audi-Aalto competition took place
- Aalto on Tracks received the first Aalto Student Initiative award, congrats!
- Talouselämä newspaper made entirely by Aalto students was given out on campuses
- Design Factory researcher delegation went on a trip to Kenya 24.8.-7.9.
- First-year students visited Design Factory at Aalto First Experience on Fri 3.9. Courses and academic programmes affiliated with DF introduced themselves. Check out some photos.
- Design Factory’s annual report 2009-2010 was sent to print
- A company named Hookie Technologies moved into Design Factory’s basement, welcome aboard!
- Open call for Media Factory’s activity and project funding opened
- The fall season of Breakfast at DFfany’s started. From now on, every Tuesday and Thursday morning a ready-made breakfast and fabulous people are awaiting you at DF’s kitchen at 8-10
