Helsinki Summer School course on interdisciplinary product design kicked off at Design Factory
After those hot, steamy, peaceful and quiet summer days, Design Factory will be buzzing again with international students starting tomorrow, as the Helsinki Summer School course on Interdisciplinary Product Design will be kicked off.
Designed for students with their background in engineering, art and design, or business, the Interdisciplinary Product Development course is designed for students who are interested in the product development of investment or consumer goods. The course focus is on three main themes:
- Successful and effective product development processes, methods, and tools
- Industrial design, usability and user experience as the key success factors
- New perspectives in developing businesses and services
All course events (lectures, workshops, hands-on prototyping, and seminars) are organised at Design Factory. For more information about the course, see the website.
We warmly welcome all summer school participants to Design Factory!
Helsinki Summer School is a three-week academic event organised every August by the universities in the Helsinki area. Each year we give advanced degree students from over 60 countries an unforgettable experience that combines high quality academics with a wide range of cultural and social activities. Our multidisciplinary courses, all of which are taught in English, aim at stimulating thought and intellectual development in an open and diverse environment. At Helsinki Summer School, the rich academic, cultural and social resources of this vibrant city all become part of the classroom experience.
